I have to agree with you there with most, if not all of it. There certainly weren't enough marshals, especially considering in the morning briefing they said how proud they were of the marshals and that you would never be far from one, there were times where a marshal was needed and there weren't any within shouting range.
As for the site, as great as it was, a lot of the games enabled one team to get to all the staircases and effectively trap the other team in the basement which got a bit repetitive after a while, and even more ridiculous when you take into account that the other team were, at times, either not taking hits or were disobeying the single-shot rules, which brings back the problem of too few marshals. Either people deliberately cheated, or the signs are insufficient to indicate the single shot zones, both of which are big problems. This ties into the point you raised about the signs, on several occasions I had no idea how to return to the safe zone without following people (although that can be a problem on a large, complicated site) but it was a major problem for some, as I know after one of the morning games about half a dozen people didn't hear the game over call and kept playing, then when they finally realised the game had finished, stuggled to find the safe zone. On the plus side, the day was very enjoyable, and I did like the added touch of using the PA system to play music throughout the day |

i've got to be fair and say when there were marshalls around they were pretty good and got involved but your right not enough of them around for a site of this size. having more would solve the ridiculous amount of non-hit taking, it was the worst i've seen it and i've played there quite a few times, also too many choke points and not enough areas to manouvre, once you were stuck in one spot that was it you were trapped. also from a personall point of view, ban moscarts!!! i was not happy about getting shot in the face at point blank and the fella that did it, didn't give a sh*t. also make a point of getting players to take honesty hits, i had a bit of a feeding problem with a couple of my mags, had more than a few people bang to rights, i.e 5-10 foot, the bb's wouldn't feed, they knew but still decided to shoot me, bearing in mind they wern't even pointing at me when i had them!! bit picky i know but if it was on the other foot, i'd say fair enough i'll take it as a hit coz i knew i'd been out played.

im not naive enough to think that a few hits werent taken as it does happen, but i think generalizing us as teflon coated cheating wankers might just be a tad harsh as i saw people not taking hits on both sides, but chose not to confront/sl*g anyone off as i tend to think that it puts a sour note on the day which is not what i payed my 35 quid for.
and dr.p i dont mean to pick you out but your last point about him not taking an honesty hit when you hadnt actually shot him with a bb? no way mate, whoever it was, was absolutely right in turning around and shooting you, if you were that close why didnt you knife kill him? your fault for having the faulty gun to be honest. |

I had a great day, caught up with some good mates who I haven't seen in a while and only had one incident when someone didn't take a series of hits. The Marshall got involved and we sorted it out and 'reset' the situation and started again. I am looking forward to going back again. The 'Teflon" comment I hope and pray is not aimed at us..... we all took hits when we knew we had them.... we all miss hits in the heat of the fight.. adrenaline makes us deaf to certain noises.... ALL of us, me included.
I'm hoping we all get the chance to do it again.....

FYI, i'll think you'll find pete was generalizing the teflon comment mainly at the locals that turned up to play. yes your right with the comment that we've all been hit at times and not realised in the heat of it. i will admit i did see players on both teams who didn't take their hits when it was blatant and some of these are people i know and thought better of but will not mention names. it was an enjoyable day and i'd love to do it again and also steve, that might be your choice to turn around and shoot but its not how i play, its a personal preference which i find makes the game more sportsmanlike and challanging and also its a bit hard to claim a knife kill when you don't own a knife.......

I was thinking of one or two - teflon coated wankers to be honest - and will point out that they weren't known to me.
And the ones who thought moskarts were shotguns were just wankers.

What ever anyone says that was the best days airsofting I have ever had and I place alot of that in the hands of you guys! I do have a few points of my own: Marshals were better than the last time I went but at times were too good! Site is fantastic and easy to learn the layout very quickly F&O should clean up the BBs every once in a whileI wonder if they had a marshal using the CCTV room?
I too did catch several people I no not taking hits because they thought I was friendly fire. However I just got on with it because at the end of the day we are all friends and should no better.
I think the site should be real or mid caps only and semi only. No confusion if its as simple as that.
Moscarts shouldnt be alould either.
I think the 1st game is a waste of time if you call it "a chance to explore the site"! Do a quick guided tour after you cut the breifing in half!
Think a zombie day there would be wicked!
Anyway it was a great day in my eyes. I enjoyed running out with Skittles for his birthday as I dont get to see him much as he lives a mission away and look forward to playing with you all soon.
